Aug 3 Marlins first baseman Carlos Delgado tested his sore left elbow in a batting cage Tuesday and came away disappointed with the lack of progress the injury has made. "I was hoping I was feeling better. I guess it was wishful thinking," Delgado told the Miami Herald, who hasn't played in a week. "It's definitely better than it was on Saturday, so hopefully we're on the right track. [But] I'd like to be in the fast lane."
Views: Fantasy owners should plan on having Delgado on the bench another couple days and possibly through the weekend. Jeff Conine continues to be the likely candidate to see extra at bats during Delgado's absence.
Don't Haftner and Delgado know I am in a playoff race.

Jeez, couldn't they have done this like a week ago!!! I got a nice week of zero from Delgado because the kept waiting to put him on the DL.
Marlins placed first baseman Carlos Delgado on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 28, with a sore left hand.
It's just not a good idea to listen to Jack McKeon when it comes to injuries. Jeff Conine will continue to play first base until Delgado is eligible to return on Friday. Aug. 6 - 5:07 pm et
Finally The Rock has come back....to New York City!!
