Where will Utley go in drafts next year?

I worry about Utley having a V. Mart type of start to next season. And yes, 2B will be a deeper position... Sori, Kent, Roberts, M. Giles, Utley, Weeks, Cano, Loretta, Iguchi, Cantu (if he qualifies)Sadly, I think Vidro is done.

He'll probably get drafted around the 6th, but is a much better pick a round or 2 later.

I agree. And 2B isn't as thin as people think this season, it's just thin when it comes to power. Here's a list of guys who are all very usable next season at 2B.

(No particular order)

Utley
Kent
Soriano
Polanco
Iguchi
Cano
Weeks
Roberts
Lopez
Lugo
Giles
Hall
Freel
Grudzielanek
Walker
Vidro
Loretta

There's 17 serviceable options at 2B for next year, some more than others. I'd say Utley is top 5 material at the position and at a power thin (And one that is seen to be thinner than it is by the people most likely in your average draft) he probably goes top 5 rounds. I'll probably hold out for a Figgins, Freel, or Lugo since I like to draft speed at a position like this with a later round pick and if I miss out on either of those 3 I'll snag Cano or Weeks towards the back of the draft.

Do you think Utley goes higher than Brian Roberts next year? You think Roberts is a serviceable keeper in a keep four league?

Starting my keeper league next year, and I'll be taking a shot on him if he drops as low as the 6th round. If he goes on to have a year like he is now, I'll be keeping him for many years to come......

If he's not there, I'll try and wait on Weeks in the 8th ;-D

Roberts goes higher, but personaly I'd rather have Utley. Roberts has this '1-year-wonder' feel about him.
