He played well in Peoria when I saw him. He's having good, quality at bats. What do the Cubs have to lose anyways? The guy is a FA at the end of the year. He's always an injury risk. Get him on the field now for a chance at the wild card.

:-?

This doesn't mean he's going to play tomorrow does it?

He won't play until Friday. He's just joining to the team tomorrow.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

Ha...you and me both. I've been using freaking Craig Counsell for the past 2 months. :~(

Needless to say, that is the league I'm doing the absolute worst in. 9th out of 12. I'm in 3rd or better in my other 8 leagues (rookie luck? :-D )...so I did a pretty bad job on that one. :-t

As I said before, Renteria alone should be enough to drop Renteria.

I like the guy and love the Cubs, but I dont see an extremely successful return. I just used him in a trade where I sent Wright, DCabrera, Nomar for Aramis and Garland. If I thought Garciappara would come back to stud status, I wouldnt have made the trade...
