My husband wanted me to post this...

I'm playing manager mode in MVP 2004, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to make a double switch. I can figure it out if I am playing the game, but not in manager mode because there is no double switch button. I tried doing a defensive position swap first, but it keeps my position player as a pitcher instead of changing the pitcher's slot to a fielder.

Any help would be appreciated.

my first question is - how in the heck are you playing mvp 04 with one hand? that's a real trick! Im not sure if it's the same as in MVP 05, but first off, you have to have had a pitcher up and warming. Then, when your the offensive team, go do your double switch. Replace the batter you want to switch out (most likely the batter that was batting just before the player up at the moment, thus 8 batters before the pitcher is up again), and replace him with the desired pitcher. Following this, hit done, and it will bring up the pinch hitter screen, asking who you want to hit in the previous pitchers spot. replace him with desired hitter and your all set!

I know that's long and drawn out, but i figured id be detailed. Hope yah get it - oh, and i hope your playing the cubs and losing :-B

wow - my bad --- i didnt read your post carefully enough. I was under the impression that you were in game. MY BAD :-t

-- i unfortunatly have never played manager mode, and am unsure of how to pull that off. You might just have to enter the game from manager mode and do the double switch, then come back out into manager mode. Ill leave the rest of this post in hopes that the other half will help someone out.

None of those options are available in manager mode.

Hmmm, guess I never take manger mode serious enough to make double switches....hell I don't even usually make pitching changes. :-D

I will tell you if you give me pictures....sorry those are the rules. I did not make them, just follow them.

being a nice guy though, if you are uncomforable posting pictures you have to promise me that you will at least root for the Cubs in the next series with the Cards just to annoy JTWood.

After a quick google, this was the only link I could find on it, and it looks like you may be out of luck. :-/

EA made a serious mistake in MVP this year by including manager mode in the game without making it sound. I'l give you 2 examples for you to try. Play a game in Manager Mode, and make a Double switch. You can't do it.

I didn't take the time to read it, but you've got a lot of time to kill, so have fun. :-b

Wow...I actually have MVP 2003 since I barely play baseball games...the season is too freaking long to try to play it all and I just have to have realistic stats at the end of the season. And I hate simming.
