Webb vs. Mays....a good time to start Webb?

What are Webb's chances of winning tonight against Mays and the Twins.

I am thinking about benching Webb, because it is the homer dome you know?

Shoud I start Webb or not?

He's not facing Mays, unless they changed the Twins rotation at the last minute. He's facing Johan Santana.

I predict a pitchers duel, so defintiely start him. With Webb's sinker, I don't see a lot of home runs being given up.

I'm really in need of wins right now and I want to try Webb out since I've been holding on to him for a long time but the Twins scored 15! yesterday and I'm afraid that I'm going to be sending my young pitcher right at a bunch of guys who are swinging like crazy in a homer friendly park. I'm real hesitant but I might just pull the trigger and hope for the best.

I hated to break the news to him, but I told Webb that he is sitting this one out today.

Santana is starting? cbsportsline has Mays starting, so it could be wrong.

Anyway, if Santana is starting, it just another reason for me to bench Webb.

Plus the Twins are swinging hot bats right now, too.

I have Santana and Webb, and am starting both. I also can see a pitcher duel happening...I'm hoping they strike out 7-8 apiece...Santana could do more if he's hot. The Twins lineup just doesn't scare me for some reason...I could be wrong, but I don't respect their hitting as much as say the Braves, Rangers or Reds.

Webb is a groundball pitcher which is not good news when pitching in Minnesota. He is a risky start against a hot hitting team, I could see them drilling groundballs through the infield and giving Webb a hard time. This could be the game where Webb finally implodes.

Plus the Twins are swinging hot bats right now, too.

Take away the last 2 games of the Colorado series and they have 4 wins out of their last 11 games, while getting outscored 61 to 44. Scoring 7 runs against Darren Oliver and 7 runs against Javier Lopez in one game doesn't mean they are swinning hot bats.
