Anyway, he played last night so it appears this latest setback is past him. I also could use that .290 avg.

Yeah, I'd say so. I always rated him high at 2B before this season as well, but at the moment he looks like he'll be one of those talents that just can't stay healthy long enough to produce. Damn shame too.

Vidro is one of the best pure hitters among middle infielders. He had an ugly month, but there is no reason he will not come around. What evidence is there to adjust the expectation that he will hit .290-.300 from here forward? Each of the past three seaons he has had months where he has hit in the .230s or lower, yet finished with BAs of .294, .310 and .315. There is really nothing to worry about and you will probably regret it down the stretch if you drop him for some WW chump.
