August Schedule

This is the month we NEED to put up some good wins. 22 out of the 27 games this month are against below .500 teams. I'm aware we are only 1 game over .500 but we are capable of putting up a good win percentage this month. We need a solid August if we want to play meaningful games in September and I think we can do it.

The only below .500 team we play in September are the Rockies, and they're no gimmie after our poor performance in Colorado last week.

I have a feeling this series against the Brewers is absolutely crucial.

Kicking off the month with a sweep could provide real impetus for the next few weeks.

Losing the series against a team with only one or two star players would be very demoralising.

we really couldn't afford to lose those back-to-back games to San Fran. if they wudda won 1 of those and the one where pedro flirted w/ a no-no and lost 2-1. Theyd be 17-8 which is much better. Also a while back the Mets lost 2-1 Glavine vs. Woody Williams. Those few games could end up being the difference.
