A guy in my league just came to me and offered me Kyle Lohse, Wade Miller, and Adam Dunn for Vlad, Brett Myers, and Mark Buehrle. He even brought up the fact that Vlad is out for 8 weeks because I was a little hesitant, then I decided to do the trade, do you guys think I came out ahead on this one. Remember I made him know fully aware ahead of time that Vlad is out for 6-8 weeks. He still thinks he got a great deal. I think I came out ahead.

i like dunn and i dont like him.. he has so much power but the guy is swingin wit many holes in his bat.. his average is so damn low..

Decisive victory for you, hands down. Anybody who thinks Vlad is worth anything this year knows NOTHING about herniated discs. If the guy wants to talk trash and act like he ripped you off, give him the following names:

I-Rod
E. Alfonzo
J. Conseco
K. Brown
O. Cabrera
S. Reynolds

etc. etc. etc.

So tell him to do his homework before he opens his pie hole. And even if Vlad comes back in eight weeks (and I can almost guarantee you it won't be 6), that'll be about August 13. But even then, they won't just throw him in the lineup every day. Instead, he'll get all kinds of time off. He's also likely to go on a minor league rehab assignment. And who knows how long it'll take for him to get his timing back? So what would be the use in having Vlad this season?
