As you may (or may not) have noticed, we've been running a little movie showdown on the front page polls recently. The first round is in the books, and the results are in:

A League of Their Own defeated Cobb

Bull Durham defeated For Love of the Game

61* defeated The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars and Motor Kings

The Natural defeated Angels in the Outfield

Major League defeated The Sandlot

The Bad News Bears defeated Pride of the Yankees

Field of Dreams defeated Major League II

Eight Men Out defeated Bang the Drum Slowly

Now, in round two, we'll see some of the heavy hitters square off. Voting starts on Friday; this should be interesting... ;-D

I dont get how a comedy got paired against a non comedy.. shouldnt it have been like bull durham and major leauge?

Guess I should start checking the front page instead of just linking straight into the forums. :-D

Doesn't look like there were any major upsets yet.

Major League vs. The Sandlot was the toughest first round matchup in my opinion. The second round will have some very tough choices, but should be fun. :-)
