I'm hearing rumors here in Marinertown that Jorge Campillo's going to be called up in the next couple days and Felix Hernandez may be called up within the next week or two.

Campillo already got called up, he's starting tomorrow. Sele is gone.

Hasegawa and possibly another pitcher may be on their way out later this week.

Felix may start on Thursday according to Rotoworld:

Jorge Campillo will get the start tonight, but Hernandez should be slated to start on Thursday and was reportedly on the M's chartered flight yesterday to Detroit. Hernandez pitched four hitless, scoreless innings against Omaha on Saturday, and Tacoma pitching coach Rafael Chaves is impressed. ''Felix is showing he's probably a little better than the competition in Triple A.'' Aug. 2 - 10:03 am et

Right-hander Ryan Franklin was suspended 10 days Tuesday for violating MLB's steroids policy.

Interesting. Franklin's suspension makes it an easy decision for the Mariners to call up Felix Hernandez and have him start this week.

"A little better"? Hahah. Yes, 22 strikeouts in 14 innings is just a little better.

Rotowire says:

Comment: Pineiro, after receiving the kiss of death from manager Mike Hargrove just a couple days ago, will be sent to Triple-A Tacoma to make room for pitching phenom Felix Hernandez, who will start Thursday, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
