GM Omar Minaya said tonight that he expects Vladimir Guerrero will be lost from six-to-eight weeks.
Minaya doesn't think surgery will be necessary, but he expects Vlad's rehab from a herniated disc to be a lengthy process
It looks like just like RJ and Schilling owners, Vlad owners are now royally screwed.
Ouch. Happens to the best of us. I would say it was more of a Snap, Crackle, and Pop for you.

that's why you shouldn't consolidate like that. I mean, imagine if instead of taking Vlad in all three leagues, you instead took Vlad, Randy Johnson, and Curt Schilling...
Well Vlad along with Pettitte are my two favorite players in the game today, so not only trying to be competitive, you also like to have your favorite players on your team, and yes Pettitte is on all three teams as well. Plus those two players are not like the worse to ever come along, ya know?
Bob, you're breaking the first rule of fantasy baseball, to abandon all loyalties to your favorite teams and players. I dropped Al Leiter last week because his WHIP and ERA was killing my team (and I have a screenname fashioned after him!!) That's how you stay in first place!!!
Eh, it's the way I play, if I would have made that statement last year, I don't think that anybody would have had a problem because Vlad was tearing it up. It's just because he is hurt. Oh well, when he comes back, after a week or two, I think he will be back to putting up some power numbers just not stealing bases. I can sympathize with him right now with a bad back as I am going through spasms myself. It hurts like no man's business right now. I will never again yell at a player for sitting out with back problems.
This is why people should have traded Vlad for good value once the announcement that he had a herniated disc was made. Now, since many waited, you won't get anything for him. And with this injury, even when he returns, the normal Vlad is not likely this season at any point. Reason #1: You have to assume that even when he returns he's going to get frequent days off. Reason #2: This is a chronic injury that doesn't just go away. Reason #3: Vlad's herniated disc must be very severe, unlike A-Rod, or else he wouldn't be out 6-8 weeks.
