I am in high school and have been working about 40 hrs/week between 2 different jobs. I want to save most, if not all of the money I make. However, i listen to a lot of music. I was thinking that of the $1500-2000 I will make this year, I would buy the IPod and then bank the rest. Does anyone have any suggestions about what type to buy? Also, how cheap could I find a new one for and where could I find them cheap? Thanks a lot!
hmm..... They don't really sell below price that often.....I just bought my Dad a 20 gb Color.....I have 20gb not color (ahh who cares, but I'm jealus of the pics you can put on) I say that getting a 20 gb is the way to go.....not too much space and not too little. I hover around 200 songs so it depends how many you have..The Color 20 GB is $ 300.. My neighbor told me how he got his $30 cheap because he got an iPod at Best Buy when they had a big sale....I don't know if this helps, but good luck.
Just buy one from NewEgg. I've always thought I-Pods were overrated. There are much better deals on other name brand players if you ask me. I don't have the most extensive music library, but I don't think I could fill a 20GB player. I suppose it's nice to have, but I can fit 6+hours of music at 192kbps (which is roughly CD quality) on my cheap ($89) little 512MB player, which is good enough for me. I just listen to the stuff I loaded on there until I'm bored with it then just replace that with different playlists, but then again, I don't have to have my entire collection at my fingertips at any given moment either.
You could always do it my way and get it for free but that's another story. If you're a student, you can get a discount from the Apple store or apple.com
I dont like the minis that much. I think they're ugly and not much of a better deal....at 5 GB mini is what $200? While a 20 GB regular ipod is $300...
Im really thinking of buying one too, but no way i'd get a mini...or a shuffle...
