I like this deal - im glad gerut did SOMETHING for us.... if only get us a guy with a decent OBP and decent speed.

Am i the only one who wants to see Lawton go straight to the lead-off spot? What is everyone's thoughts?

ya, hariston just hasn't been cutting it leading off. I still like walker in the #2 spot though.

I like this deal for us like I've stated in other threads. Lawton is a good leadoff man that should get on base in front of the big hitters. I'm just interested to see what the lineup will be like when Nomar comes back. Will they put him in the #2 hole or at #6? I'd bet #6 to start out but we'll see.

I'm liking this deal. It reminds me of when they traded for Jose Hernandez only to turn around and send him to Pittsburgh for A-Ram. Obviously Lawton isn't A-Ram but he should provide a much more stable bat in the lineup.
