Pretty quiet trade deadline...

Postby TheYanks04 » Sun Jul 31, 2005 5:36 pm

Quietest in years I think. Lawton and Farnsworth only players of note moved unless something has not been announced yet.

Don't forget Buddty groom for the PTBNL.

Lawton and Farnsworth the only ones of signiificance...and they are hardly Soriano's. The others are spare parts and lower tier regulars.

Very little action on this deadline.

Definitely anti-climatic. :-°

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

There will still be deals made, and probably one or two significant ones. Baseball's trade deadline has never exactly been a trade deadline. The only difference is that guys have to pass thru waivers to be dealt post-deadline, but that's generally not a problem.

So sitck around, there will still be plenty of action.

What about Nevin? I would say that he is one of the best that have been traded.
