I picked up Borowski two weeks ago just on speculation that Baez would be traded. I am desperate for closers (my only options are Belisle/Weathers), so I need Baez out of there!!
Sorry, but in no way can Beaz still be on the Tampa roster. It would be a stupid move for the GM to make. He's worth nothing when he leaves, and he will leave, and Tamps in no way are contending. If he didn't trade Beaz he should be fired right now.

I agree. We have a 2006 option ($4 million) on him, though, so he could be dealt next year if we exercise that.

They will exercise Baez's option and trade him inthe off-season probably. The M's have an option on Eddie everyday too, so neither team HAS to trade their closer. They can do it in the off-season.
Good decision or not, it works out from a fantasy perspective.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
