Is Ben Johnson, going to keep getting AB's? I like his potential, I would just like to know if they are gonna keep him in the lineup, or is he gonna be a spot starter?

If he continues to hit the ball well like he has the past few days, I can see him getting a lot more AB's.

Right now they are audtioning him for next year, in case we don't sign Giles. Also, Roberts is only on a 1-year deal, but I am thinking he will be back next year.

I wouldn't necessarily say Johnson is hitting the ball well. He had one good game, but prior to that he had grounded into a double play and failed to move runners over repeatedly.

But yes, Johnson is only spot-starting right now, and I don't think he's worthy of fantasy consideration just yet.

Second straight game with a home run. His first at bat wasn't shabby either, he should have gotten the walk, but he was called out on what looked like the worst call I have ever seen.

Yeah, that pitch was far too up and in to be a strike. Johnson seems like he's getting comfortable up there and that will lead to good things (like the homeruns). I think our lineup will be a lot better next year if he can supplant Klesko and we keep Nady at first.

Gotta love the no batting gloves look he uses as well. It has been a few years since I've seen that by a Padre.

It sure is...he's already been moved up in the lineup and despite another GIDP today, I think he'll be a lock to be in the lineup for the rest of the season. If you would have told me that a few days ago I would have laughed, but he's tearing the cover off the ball. His homeruns are line-drives and are simply crushed; he's going to be a stud.
