Lawton to Cubs

It's about On Base %, Lawton has a good one, and Is a proven Lead off hitter that makes contact and gets on base. Gerut is younger, but Ultimately the Cubs trading Dubois for Lawton to me is a good move. They are still going NO Where because they have NO Bullpen. Tell me that they made a late deal that got them another RP, and I'll REALLY be happy.

Our bullpen should improve with Williamson coming back from injury and Wood heading out there for the rest of the season. I still think we should have looked to acquire somebody to help us out (Baez).

Lawton is only hitting .276 in a lineup only protected by Bay. But it ay work out, I still like Hiartson to leadoff. Where do you think Lawton bats? and any chance Angel Guzman shows his face????

Batting average is overrated, especially for leadoff batters. I would think Lawton and Hairston will be #1 and #2 in the batting order. We'll see though. Angel Guzman is still inured, hasn't pitched at all this year as far as I know.

Havok1517 needs to get a clue. He has been dead wrong on every point he has brought up in this thread.

Looks like another great move by hendry.

If im dissapointed about one thing in this deal, it's that matt Murton gets stuck one. He's been relegated to the bench for hitting around .440 and having an obp of +.500. I hope he still get's a spot start for bernie or someone. Anyone else notice how Patterson has really just lost his place in the outfield? With Lawton in here now, we've filled our holes in the OF for the most part. Thanks Pirates :) we'll treat him well. ;-D

YTF do the Pirates keep doing this?
do they not realize that they actually have to play against the Cubs 20 times a year?
Aramis Ramírez vs. PIT since the trade ...

Maybe Selig should contract the Bucs due to stupidity.
This is almost as bad as LA paying Shawn Green to play for Arizona :-o
