Great move for the Braves then. Although I'm not sure what happens with the closer situation now. I guess we'll have to hold tight.
Seems insane from a Tigers point of view though. Colon isn't THAT good and Miner is a lower level pitching prospect, well he is at the Braves at least.
Well played JS

He blocked one to Atlanta, too, apparently. Who in their right mind would block a trade to Pitcher Heaven?
He must want to end his career in Seattle, nothing wrong with that.
I'd rather end my career with a shot to get a ring in Atlanta or Houston. Does Moyer have a ring? I don't think he does.
Well I can't say I would stay in Seattle for a chance to go to Atlanta or Houston, but I'm not him, and he obviously has a difference of opinion. Who knows, maybe he still thinks Seattle has a chance.

i dont even know what to say to that.....
Well, Rotterdam was arguing about Huff being a leader, potentially, but he's nowhere near the leader Nevin was in San Diego. Nevin gave 110% every game and was always outspoken about the club.

Yeah, Moyer is highly regarded in the community, involved in a bunch of charitable foundations and such, but it does seem he could have moved to help the team (plus, as a free agent, there would be nothing to prevent him from just re-signing with the M's in the offseason). This is curious.
Good news for anyone who picked up Fernando Rodney in preparation for the Farnsworth suspension. It's a miracle for me, who gets exactly what he need. I'm so fearful that Baez will be traded, that hasn't been announced yet and I got a very much needed 3rd closer. Looks like first place in my money league became a real possibility as my lead was slipping away. Thanks Tigers!

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.
