Plus, Winn is a mediocre hitter who won't be on base enought to steal a lot of bases. He has 12 now. I'd be surprised if he stole more than just 8 more on the season.
Just out of curiosity...
Since he has a great many games left against the horrible NL West, who is going to throw him out?
Phillips?
Closser?
Ardion?
Snyder?
Olivio?
Ross?
I think there is solid chance that his SB's increase..
He is a career .283 hitter and going to a ballpark that suits his game.

how bout, "why the F*** did the giants make that trade?" or "is Brian Sabean smoking crack?" sorry... I'll go vent in the giants forum but... yeah he'll steal with the giants, but he will be platooning with ellison, and play only vs. righties so you have to consider that. i think that all in all he may steal a little more but not enough to warrant a spot in anything other than a deep NL only league

They are five games out with two months to go ..
Barry is running on a treadmill ..
Armando should be back sooner rather than later ..
Alfonso is back
Schmidt didn't go anywhere ..

Its clear they are making a run ..
I agree that they are making a run, but a run at what? a small chance at a playoff spot, where they will lose in the first round anyways, seeing as their starting pitching is atrocious. they traded away 2 good young players for a lighting hitting centerfielder, which they have 2 of already. they didnt get anything that they needed, such as power or pitching, and got a guy who will hamper the progress of one young player and resulted in moving 2 others.
