do the Giants like to run more than Seattle did? i see that Winn has 12 SB on the year but i'm thinking that may jump on a Bondsless Giant team. old man Omar leads the team with 18 steals...so you think winn will have the green light as well?

I think he will steal a LITTLe bit more because he is with the Giants. Also i seem to recall he tends to be more of a 2nd half player anyways so i would say THAT will boost his numbers a bit as well.

I may be wrong, but I don't think we'll see Bonds in the Giants lineup until April, 2006.

Winn has value in deep leagues or NL only leagues, so yes someone cares.
I don't think he'll run any more for SF though and I think the league switch will probably hurt him more than help him. The deal makes little sense to me though, so maybe they plan on trading him for someone else before the deadline. Why would they want an average OF for "prospects" when they are already out of the playoff race.

From what I have seen and read, Felipe Alou is notoriously conservative when it comes to the running game. I do not see Winn's stolen base rate increasing. Plus, Winn is a mediocre hitter who won't be on base enought to steal a lot of bases. He has 12 now. I'd be surprised if he stole more than just 8 more on the season.
