Just got back from a trip to the Rockies in Colorado a few hours ago. I managed to make it to the top of Longs Peak, grueling 16 mile hike. Anyone ever do it before, or any other hard hike?

my dad did it 5 yrs ago ( i was only in 3rd grade so he didn't let me) he brought back a shirt with a picture of a guy puking over a fence and it said " i climbed longs peak"

Couple of friends and I made it to the boulder field once, this was 15 years ago. We weren't in shape for it, and lacked anything resembling hiking gear so we decided not to venture further. Beautiful hike though. Looking back, we should have pressed on. Wimps.

Not real big on hiking myself. I get bored, but I hear it's great for relaxation though. ;-D

I think the Rockies should have built their park up on that peak, just to help hit balls get a little more distance... :-D

Yeah, I went hiking in Colorado three years ago and I went up Longs Peak.....it was awesome, but very grueling.

Congrats on hiking your 1st 14er..>I can see longs and Evans out my window...

There are like 50 14'ers in colorado...good work..

I've been here a year and haven't hiked a whole one yet...

btw 14'er means 14,000 feet
