yeah it's short term. Only way he gets called up again is to work in the bullpen (which will likely happen in September)
I like his outing today:
5.1 IP, 4H, 2 ER, 5 BB, 7Ks
His Fastball hit 95. In the 5th inning he had a 3-2 count with 2 outs and it was a borderline call. If he wasn't a rookie he probably would of gotten the call and the 2 walks wouldn't of happened after that. But other than that it was promising debut for the kid
i doubt they'll keep papelbon up too long since he just got to triple-a and they do have other options. He looks like a #2-3 type starter, a big strong horse.
Look into Jon lester, i think I like him better than papelbon
Radio in Boston are saying the Red Sox will keep Papelbon up to pitch him in the bullpen along with Mannyy Delcarmen. They'll send down Jeremi Gonzalez or Lenny DiNardo....We'll find out tonight when Jose Cruz gets here...
