Winn Scratched From Lineup-Where To?

Postby Gang Green » Sat Jul 30, 2005 4:15 pm

Now that Winn has been scratched from today's game, does anybody have any thoughts on where he's headed?

The Yankees backed away from Winn from what I've heard. Were any other teams interested?

My guess is the Red Sox. If the Pirates are asking too much for Lawton, I guess he's the next reasonable alternative.

Rotoworld said the Giants are offering 2 non-stud minor leaguers for Winn. I doubt that Winn will go to the Giants, but its well worth reporting.

One Mariners source said Saturday that there is a 90 percent chance OF Randy Winn will be moved by Sunday's 1 p.m. deadline, with the San Francisco Giants a late entry to the market. (Seattle Post Intelligencer)

The Twins need anything but another OF. They are stack @ OF in the minors and on the team. They just recalled Ryan today.

Not sure if he would be a decent CF but it could be the Pads with Roberts struggling badly this month. :-?
