1951 Bowman Yogi Berra

I've got a 51 Bowman Berra card that would probably be graded around a 6 or 7, but for the crease down the middle of the card. Any opinions on whether it would still be worth it to get this card graded? Also, any idea of worth? I've seen cards in much better condition (PSA 9) going for a few hundred on Ebay. Not planning on selling the card, just wondering worth. Thanks.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you come across such a card?

If you're not planning on selling the card, there's probably no real need to get it graded. I'd rather spend the money on a pack or another card instead (that might just be me, however). If you ever decide to sell, you can always get it graded later on.

Gotta love those old Bowmans!

If you don't mind me asking, how did you come across such a card?

Over 10 years ago, my aunt was living in Cincinnati. Her husband at the time (ex now) was walking through some place that had held a baseball card show the day before. He found the Berra and a couple other cards lying on the ground. He let the venue know that he had found them, in case someone, realizing that they'd lost the card, called looking for it. Nobody ever called, so the venue told him he could keep it. A couple months back I had my first child, a son, and my aunt thought that I might like to have it, to sell or to give it to him someday, she didn't care. That's the story.

What a coincidence. I happened to lose a 1951 Bowman Yogi Berra about 10 years ago at a show in Cincinnati. I'll PM my address so you can return the card. BTW it was in mint condition at the time I lost it so I'll also be sending you a bill to cover my losses.
