Madison -- didnt know you were a fellow DFWer, so who do we put in the rotation now?
R Rodriguez has pretty much been relegated to the pen (though I thinkt hey have to start him now), Brocail is deep relief, Rogers is gone for 20, Park is gone......

So we have
Wadsin Young Benoit CJ WIlson??? R Rodriguez??
AND #(*$ WHO??
Yep, Ft. Worth and a straight shot up 30 to The Ballpark in Arlington (I know, I know, Ameriquest Field, but I hate that name ).
Rotation while Rogers is out:
Young
Benoit
R. Rodriguez
Wasdin
Then probably C.J. Wilson or someone we call up. Then again, we've got an open rotation spot if we happen to land a starter for Soriano, and I'd say that's the most likely thing to happen. Sori winds up gone within a week and we get a starter (+ whatever, probably prospects) in return.

agchris02 wrote:Park was supposed to pitch tonight, in toronto it was even "Korean night", it looks like half the stadium is full of pissed off koreans since he's being traded
this paragraph is great on so many levels i dont even know where to begin!
ah, another public relations hit for the blue jays
It occured to me that this statement may have been viewed as racist, i was just watching the game on the local dallas affilate and the announcers actually said (and toronto DID bill this game as "Korean Night"), the camera man panned around the stadium, I think half the fans really were korean, Id be pissed if i went to go see Park and he didnt play
That aside, why the hell would anyone get excited about Park -- he's not really your ideal national hero or anything. Thats kind of like me getting really excited that Eric Milton is coming to town.
And, whats up with EVEN HAVING "korean night", why dont we have "Whitey night," or "Illegal immigrant night" -- there's an idea, Jose Contreas pitches, free tickets for illegals
Maybe Ive gone to far in this post, so Ill be quiet now, the whole idea of "Korean night" seems mildly offensive to me though.
It has to be understood in context of the local demographics, really. Toronto is one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world, and there are HUGE enclaves of all sorts of different nationalities living in different parts of the city. This sort of promotion is actually pretty common. Every year when Seattle comes to town the Jays throw a 'Japanese night', and every year the Rockets come to town the Raptors hold 'Chinese night'. And they are always well attended, people like coming out to root for their homeland heroes. Kinda like the way Steve Nash always gets bigger ovations than any Raptor whenever he plays here.
You should see this city whenever there is a World Cup (soccer) going on, literally every day there is a different section of the city shut down for partying and street festivals, depending whether Korea/Japan/Brazil/Italy/Portugal/Greece/Turkey/whoever has won their game..

A bag of used batting practice balls: $100
Chan Ho Park: $15,000,000
Being able to pick on Wrveres: Priceless!
Hahaha! Agreed though!

Nevin will play. No worries there.

Thats what the players here in San Diego had taken to calling him, since he was such a pleasant person to be around in the clubhouse. Personally I liked Nevin and would have preferred to see Klesko go, but then again I don't have to work with 'Sunshine' everyday either ...
As for Chan HO .. what can you say? ..
seriouslly ... what can you say?
I'll get back to ya, as soon as I pick my jaw off the floor.

LMAO ...
That was classic ... I love it. I fricking choked on my pizza.
Lol.
So WR, what exactly are the Padres thinking here? Mop up duty for ol' Chan Ho?

Ditto about Nevin; always gave 100% and gave everything he got to the organization. He was certainly worth Andy Sheets.
As for Park, it's better than Astacio, Ponson, May, or Redding. Hopefully being sent back to the NL, to a pitchers park can work a miracle.

I have a hunch he will go right into the rotation. They are losing confidence in Stauffer. Eaton is still dinged, and Astascio is NOT the awnser. If Chan Ho can at least resemble anything like his old LA self, it will be an improvement.

You guys still need a catcher, right? You could always try Chan Ho's old one from LA like we did......Krueter I believe it was.
Hehehe .
Sorry man, but I'm loving this. Getting rid of Park is great, and being able to pick on someone else about it is just icing on the cake. Especially when we know it's all in good fun . My luck, Chan Ho will be awesome for the rest of the season and my foot will be in my mouth, but for now, it's just funny.
