Who will get the first shot at closing in TB if Baez gets traded?

I think Borowski. But Orvella will not be far behind if Boro struggles at all.

Joe Borowski, then Chad Orvella, according to Rotowire.

Will Orvella be ready to close starting in 2006?

Probably not, if Lou is still there. He envisions Orvella as more of a setup guy.

Don't worry, Lou WON'T be in Tampa next year. He has definitely worn out his welcome and new management will be looking to bring in their guy. TB is a team that is going to build around youth. Lou is not the right manager for a youth movement. Good riddens Lou. Hello TB young guns. Orvella is your closer next year. How many save chances he will get to convert is the real question.

Borowski will:
1. he hasn't given up a run since Tampa signed him
2. Piella's track record/patience with rookies confirms the premise
