Chacon to Yanks done............

I actually like the deal. I'd rather have Chacon than either Leiter, Smalls, or Kevin Brown for that matter. Wright and Pavano weren't even good when they were healthy, but they'll have a spot 'cause of their salaries. Who knows if we'll even get anything from Wright, the guy hasn't pitched since April. The Yankees are hoping one of these guys will actually stick as the 5th starter and I think Chacon will be the one. Kevin Brown should just retire at this point anyway. He can't even pitch 2 games in a row anymore. Plus he's just a retard for punching that wall last year.

I wouldn't get my hopes up too much on Chacon, but I hope he succeeds: 6 ip 4 er, a pretty sad definition of success I know

it is, but as a 5th starter on the Yankees, that could be good enough for 5-6 wins down the stretch. I just think he'll be thrilled to be out of Coors.
Smalls has been outstanding, but I think we'd both be surprised if he pitched like this the rest of the year. I guess worse case scenario is Chacon's in the bullpen and maybe someone besides Sturtze can come in with a lead in the 6th/7th. Sturtze seems to be wearing down a little. His last 13.7 innings, 5.93 era 1.56 whip.

I actually have a lot of confidence that Felix can get the job done in the 6th or 7th. Sturtze is scaring me now as well.

Not bad for his first start at Yankee Stadium. Beggers can't be choosy and the Yanks aren;t in the position to be selective. Besides Chacon always had a live arm however not sure how much he lost due to the arm surgery. It must feel good to not have to pitch in Coors anymore.

Could Chacon be a steal for the Yanks?

3 games pitched and he's looking REAL solid. He looks better than Wright and RJ not to metion a WHOLE lot cheaper.

Gotta wonder if Micheal pushed for this move.
