What a joke. Manager announes that Belisle is the new closer, only to never actually use him in that role. Instead, he gets sent into games as a middle reliever, where he implodes anyway. What an idiot I am. I took the bait and grabbed Belisle off the FA list and got rewarded with no saves and a terrible ERA and WHIP for my efforts. Thanks a lot. :-C

I picked up Weathers the other day off FA after someone else with good closers got tired of this situation. So now I'm playing both Weathers and Belisle every night. So I don't mind nights like last night that much, but you're right, this situation is a joke. I feel pretty foolish using two roster spots to gain an occasional save out of one of the worst teams in the league. :-C

The Reds are a joke. Its such a terrible run team. I cant even begin to say how much I hate that team. I was also duped into picking up Belisle. Screw you Reds, I hope you lose every game the rest of the year.

I picked him up in a couple of leagues, but cut him about a week, to a week and a half later since he had not been given a single save opportunity.

If you got him for nothing, whats the issue? You should have cut him a week ago......

Yep ... I bit, got burned, and finally cut him yesterday.
Which means: 1) In the next three days Weathers will be dealt; 2) my league's first-place team will grab Belizzle off waivers, and; 3) the kid will go on to have a Mariano-like final two months.

Beh.

Hah! Sounds like my kind of luck too!!! I bit on Wagner earlier in the year...Cincy relievers should be avoided almost at no cost IMO!
