Delmon Young is hitting .362 since his promotion to Triple-A, but the Devil Rays aren't ready to call him up to the majors.
''When we think the time has come where the only place he can develop is not Triple-A, it's right out there in rightfield, then we'll make that move,'' general manager LaMar said. ''He's a budding star and he has a chance to be as good a player as we have in this organization and truly have an impact in the major leagues for years to come. They dont want the arbitration clock ticking...I think its about 60% chance of a call up this year. He has the ability but you dont want to call him up too early. I think it would be smart to have him play the season in AAA, then start him in RF next season. The Rays really need to make a trade to get rid of an outfielder or everyday player (Huff), to make room for Young. The Rays young talent looks great, it should be interesting to see if theyre able to keep it together in the upcoming years.

I have the #1 waiver priority in a dynasty league, so I'm praying he gets a callup in September.

I may just have to play it safe and snag Felix when he hits the bigs.

September 1 the Rays are too cheao to call him up sooner.

I think it's about time the Rays stopped worrying more about the arbitration clock and money than winning games. :-{

Why don't they move Huff to 1B? Travis Lee is a joke! Huff is not the greatest at 1B, but this keeps his bat in the lineup and creates a spot for Young ;-D
