Nothing in the Leftovers forum about Nomo going to the Yankees?

Wow. Are they desperate or what?

I think I may go out and try to get a 1 game contract. I can bring it at almost Wakefield knuckleball velocity (for my fastball of course) and I have an offspeed pitch...plus I'm not hurt which puts me one up on most Yankees pitchers.

Better yet...why don't they have the first 50 fans through the gates each night try out for a one day contract as a SP for the Yankees on the nights that they don't have anyone to take the mound?

It's only a minor league contract which tells me A) they got him for peanuts and not much risk and B) he's more like a plan E IF plan A, B, C, & D all fall through.

I don't expect to see him pitching for the Yanks unless the DL fills up again (AKA last resort).
