It is still hard to believe that this guy is on our team, but I will say that I am gaining more respect for him every time he pitches. It seemed like he was in trouble every time I blinked last night, but he made the right pitch when he had two. The bottom line is he gave us five innings and one run. What more can you ask for from Al Leiter?

I found it funny that after he came out of the game he was sitting next to RJ and cracking jokes. He seems like a great club house guy. He appreciates the opportunity he is getting and is walking around like a winner.

Part of me feels the way you do but the other part can't help thinking that the game would've been 11-0 in the 2nd inning if he wasn't facing the Twins...

I agree. You throw David Ortiz in that lineup and we are looking at 8-0 in the 2nd.

I'm kinda vanilla on him. He'll be serviceable against leftie lineups but very spotty against rightie lineups. But ride that horse until he gives out, I say.
