I need some info on Todd Wellemeyer!

Ahh Todd Wellemeyer .. didn't you all give me a bunch of shit last time I brought up his name?? I know this ...He wasn't supposed to come up till September, but the guy is not can't miss, he project's to be a number two or three starter. He will be giving an honest shot at the rotation next spring, barring injury this year. Obvioussly Wood, Prior and Zambrano are ahead of him ... But Estes?? .. And Clement will make great trade bate. I really wish they would send him down or let him pitch in the show .. something .. Because this can't be doing much for his development. Until then, he sits quietly on the bench on everyone of my keeper rosters ..

As for Cruz... last word I read was that the org. was thinking about making him into a closer ..

Todd just pitched 5 innings in relief...not a great line, but is at least a good sign

no strikeouts in 5 innings is disappointing, but aside from that it was a fairly good appearance. I'd imagine a Cubs pitcher would have to go down before he ever got a chance to start, though.
