I'm waiting for a player on waivers. (Danny Haren) Next to his name is Jul 28. When does he clear waivers on Yahoo? Don't want to use my priority on him, but I want to set my alarm. ;-D

I know this has been asked before, but I can't find it.

Yeah, I'm on the West Coast and the Yahoo 'day' seems to flip at midnight. So you should theoretically be able to claim him at 12:01 a.m. July 28; he would then be on your roster starting July 29.

it's never right at midnight -- waivers usually within a few hours of midnight PT. the last 3 claims in my league were awarded at 3:38, 3:58, and 3:53am PT

I stayed up to try and grab somebody at 3am one time (didn't want to burn waiver priority but didn't want anyone else to get him as a FA before me). I ended up massively ticked off. There are some times it ends up happening well after 4am eastern as I can now attest to. :(

It's the same way with roster changes. I've learned to never set my lineup for the next day between midnight and 6 a.m. because half the time it doesn't take anyway. Yahoo should put up some sort of notice for those with daily roster changes saying that they're in the middle of processing that day's stats and to come back later.

Who is this Yahoo guy? Is he any good? I can't find stats for him and it doesn't appear he's in my league. :-?

I've seen them in my leagues happen anywhere from 2:00 AM Central time, to 6:00 AM Central time. ;-D

You haven't heard of Yahoo? In AAA he had 21 W and 64 HRs! Guy is sick.

Lately, the Yahoo Fantasy "day" has been closing at 3:00am eastern time sharp.
