That's just amazing to me. A ball traveling that fast collides with someone's face and nothing is broken. Unbelievable.
Yeah, he is the luckiest guy around right now. So to speak....
One day I hope to be as lucky as him and get hit in the face with a baseball and not break anything! just kidding In all seriousness I hope he's back pitching soon!

After the obvious physical problems I'd be more worried about the mental aspect of him pitching again
Pavano walked off the field though- its a bit different from needing a stretcher.
Hopefully he's alright; I have to think he'll be a bit timid early on in his next start though.
That's something I'd be worried about. Things like that have ruined peoples' careers. Not the physical aspect, but mentally, never being able to erase the image of the ball coming back at your face.
Clement seems like a good guy, I hope he turns out ok. Especially because if he's not ok, Burnett will probably be a Red Sock.
Sure he didn't break anything, which yes is amazing. But I'm worried about the concussion factor. I've heard of people who have died from the trauma, days after. Needless to say I hope that doesn't happen, but he's in my prayers!!!
So, will Schilling move to the rotation, or will AJ get traded to Boston? Or neither?
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

I was pitching back 4 years ago in High School and the 3 hitter for the other team hit a rocket back at me, somehow I got my arm up and the ball hit my forearm and luckily just scraped my head. Nothing happened to me just a nice big bruise on my arm from where the ball hit. But I just remember the ball having absolutely no spin coming right back at me, it was like in slow-mo. I'm really lucky that I got my arm up there cause it might have been a different story if I didn't, especially with the metal bats. I never liked to pitch after that so lets hope this doesn't happen to Clement
Thanks chipper!!!!
There is such a thing called clutch and David Ortiz is the modern day definition of it
