A google news search of ' Padres Nevin Catcher ' pulls up nothing either ...

I'd guess he heard it on the radio. Because that's what his second post says.

Thanks for the good info. Given that Nevin is available in my league, I'll keep an eye on him now, and hope we continue to get updates ;-D

Bruce Bochy said Ramon will have an MRI tomorrow .. and Bochy said he expects Ramon to actually go under the knife. But we will know more tomorrow.

As far as Phil catching, Bruce said it was actually Phils idea.

A quick reminder on Phils catching prowness ...
The knock on him, was he couldn't throw runners out which is why he moved to 3B a decade ago.
I can't see him bing any better after two shoulder surgeries ....

I'd expect Tony Larussa to give the green light alot this evening...
