With the playoffs quickly approaching, and the trade deadline days away, is Foulke worth holding onto? Should I keep him, try to trade him, or drop him? I hear talk about the sox getting another closer, so even if he plays again, it might not be much, and those few games might be disasters! I don't want to leave him on my DL because I'd like to hold barmes there....

Barmes is done for the season,hes worthless

Yeah, if the only reason you'd drop Foulke is to keep Barmes then keep Foulke.

If there is some other reason to drop him I'd just wait till after the trade deadline. If Boston trades for a Guardado/Wagner type, drop Foulke. If they don't, I'd hang onto him.

I have foulke on my DL and I'm seriously considering dropping him for Barmes. there's just absolutely no news on foulke.

Have Keith Foulke return as Keith Foulke – Sox general manager Theo Epstein sounded particularly optimistic, encouraged and excited talking about Foulke Sunday. The injured closer is expected to return from knee surgery by mid- to late-August. If he is the early 2005 Foulke, yesterday's excitement is going to quickly fizzle. It is impossible to imagine the Red Sox marching through the playoffs without Foulke or another bona fide closer. Rumors of Wagner ending up in Boston never became fact. Foulke is currently the Sox' only established option at closer.

man, and I just dropped him the other day. Maybe I should pick him back up...I'm just not sure who to drop for him

I have Looper closing, and Lyon coming off the DL this week or next. I'm not sure if I'll need him, but I might pick him up so noone else can use him against me.

Foulke has been a stud his whole career, seriously....look at his stats.....the one year that he struggled, he turned around at the end and finished with good stats. I would put the odds in his favor that he finishes out the year strong.
