The Yankees latest minor league experiment may have them promoting Triple-A centerfielder Kevin Thompson.
With the Randy Winn trade rumors fading(and Tony Womack back in centerfield), it is looking less likely that Yankees will get an upgrade from outside the organization. Thompson, who played in the ''Futures Game'' at the All-Star Game earlier this month, is hitting .329 with 13 homers, 53 RBI and 35 steals between Double-A and Triple-A. Thompson, who is 25-years-old, stole 63 bags in 2003 and 37 bases in an injury-marred 2004 campaign. Jul. 30 - 11:14 am et
