The Indians are finally expected to place Travis Hafner on the disabled list today, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He still hasn't recovered from a concussion suffered when he was hit in the face on July 16. His dizzy spells returned after running the bases on Monday afternoon. Today is the last day the Indians can make the move retroactive to July 17. ...

The Indians placed Hafner on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday after he missed the last nine games because of a concussion, the Associated Press reports. The move was retroactive to July 17.

Hafner took batting practice outdoors Sunday for the first time since the injury, but he won't be eligible to return for another week or so.
