Looks like this K machine gets a start vs. SF Monday night. He'll also get a start for me in two leagues where taking a one night shot can't hurt me much and might steal me a W and a handful of K's.

I'm generally anti-rookie as far as pitchers are concerned as they are generally too volatile to do anything but spot here and there...but this looks like it might be one of those spots. The Giants aren't exactly crushing the ball, and it's under the Wrigley lights. As always, checking the winds in Chitown is mandatory before getting involved, but if there's no big breeze heading out, I think Hill could be a nice one night grab.

I don't know anything about this kid... Does Yahoo! have him already, or would they have him before he starts?

I'm gonna look for a scouting report and a stat sheet and I'll get back.

OK, from what I can digest he strikes out more than Nolan Ryan... and also walks more than Nolan Ryan.

Career in the minors 12 K/9, 6 BB/9. 8o

I couldn't find a scouting report, but he's got Rick Ankiel written all over him.

He could get bombed, but I'm taking a chance on him 2nite vs. the Giants.

He looked pretty good but his pitches seemed to be up a little bit.

I would take a wait-and-see approach with Hill. He has great stuff, but his command is a real problem. He walked a ton in the minors, and left a ton of pitches up tonight against the Giants. Had he been facing a team with some real big-league hitters (such as Feliz who bombed him) he would have been roughed up badly.
