give up on Cruz?

Pick up Brad Wilkerson, Cabrera, Gullien, or Grissom?

I'm leaning toward Wilkerson or do you think I should ride out Cruz. I don't think Cruz has much trade value at this point.

I traded Cruz for Alex Sanchez two weeks ago. Sanchez got me 10 steals in 9 games then I traded Sanchez for Frank Thomas (who really has been good all season but it doesn't show up fantasy-wise).

I'd rather have Wilkerson, Cabrera, and Grissom over cruz.

i have gotten no takers for cruz jr. and am going to drop him. there are other outfielders available who are better and i need pitching.

drop cruz for drew before someone else picks up drew. cruz is a .250 career hitter for a reason and thats about the most you'll get out of him this year as well (7 hr in april, 2 since as well)

The only reason I am gunshy of dropping cruz is because a month ago I dropped Javy Lopez when he had 4 hr's and was hitting .225. Someone immediately picked him up and is reaping monster hr's , avg., and rbi's from him. Gotta take risks to win though so I will probably drop him for drew or wilkerson.

I did the opposite: I dropped Drew for Cruz last week, but I'm thinking that was a mistake. As long as he hits 8th, he's worthless.

I agree that Cruz is not worth a roster spot. Let him kill another team's batting average. Go with Drew or Wilkerson.

It's all about batting location: No player in the national league (maybe outside of catchers) has fantasy value batting 8th.

Best places of the batting order:
3rd
4th
2nd/5th (really depends on surrounding cast)
1st
6th
7th
9th
8th (yes, even in the AL)

Cruz at 8th is worthless
