I smoked out about two weeks ago. My teams are on cruise control right now. I make the daily changes, but thats about it. I have been doing almost no research lately, aside from browsing the cafe. These are the dog days of Fantasy Baseball, until playoff time.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I am in a 12 team 5x5 roto league. There are no play-offs. Every year it seems like "burn-out" and your ability to avoid it is what seperates the winners from the losers. Especially as the MLB trade deadline nears.
I'm not burning out at all........this is the greatest time to make moves when no one else is doing much........the FA pick-ups are the best, but I can't say that my leagueactive.....my entire league combined has made 649 moves this year in a 10 team league....
I burned out last year...lead the league by 20 games.....burned out, blew the playoffs. This year, did just the opposite....been on cruise control and now I am kicking it into high gear.
No burnout here. I decided to play ONE team this year (in my yearly 7-team, 5x5 roto roto work league).
I'm running away with the league, having acheived a nice point balance across ALL the roro categories.
I was asked by one owner "Isn't it boring being so far ahead for most of the season?" I'm like "HELL NO. The more demoralized the other owners are because I'm so far ahead, the HAPPIER I am."
