Good question! I've always wondered the same myself. I'd also appreciate any insight on the matter.

Absolutely. 99.9% of businesses out there have it posted somewhere that they can refuse service, or have you removed at their discretion.

i'd always be tempted to go power crazy and start throwing people out on the grounds that i don't like their face, or that they were looking at something for too long. man i'd get fired quick... :-D

Hmmm, but if this is allowed then couldn't any bigoted store owner deny service to a black person?

Yes, but it would have to be proven in court that they threw someone out simply because they are black. Cases like that are always going on the courts. Nothing new.

It wouldn't be very smart business. Generally when the public finds out about this type of incedent the store will be out of business fairly quickly, but actually it still happens. :-o

You will usually see a sign "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" so they can toss you for basically any reason.
