All I know is that this year has been by far the worst season I have ever had as a GM. Before this year I have always finished in the top 3 in my BIG money league. Pot is usaully around $4,000 among 13 owners. This year I am in 12th place and soon to be in last.

I went totally against my strategies this year and decided to draft STUD Starting pitchers and CLOSERs and try to focus on HR hitters that usually help the runs and RBI cats.

Well. all my pitchers are stinking or hurt and my closers all have been inconsitant. I am leading the HR category along with RBI but Beltran has not help me one bit in the SB category this year. My team batting average is like .270

Man I can't wait until Football season starts.

Should've thrown it in the Vent Forum. :-b

You speak for all owners suffering the ill effects that 2005 have brought, though. I myself, can only really complain about inconsistent starting pitching.

This year hasn't been good to me with Helton, Beltran, Huff...but if all wake up in the second half (which all of them are starting to do)...maybe this season won't be that bad...but at one point I was going to call it quits.

I'll take that as a compliment (and I think I should, lol :-? ), and thank you. It's kicked into high gear as I come home from the chaos that is teaching my students and I just need a little order in my life. ;-)

Salary Cap $250

Nomar $27
Javy Lopez $21
Benitez $15
Mark Prior $33

40% of my salary has spent a majority of the season on the DL. Wouldn't have been so bad if the other 60% didn't suck.

I'm first in 3 of 4 leagues and 2nd in the other league, this year has been great! heh. I've had an unfair amount of success with rookies like Shelton and Weeks and with 'sleepers' like Roberts, Willis(traded early), the Lee's etc though.
