I would agree with taking Teixera. You should be able to get several of the guys you have listed off the waiver wire.

Taking a prospect depends on whether you keep him or not. Do you keep your whole team? If so, Teixiera is an obvious pick. Here's some more:

Rocco Baldelli, OF TB
Jose Reyes, SS NYM
Hee Choi, 1b CHC
BJ Upton, SS TB
Jason Stokes, 1b FLA
Brandon Phillips, 2b/SS CLE

Upton and Stokes are a few years away, but all the others should see time this year.

If I were you, I'd strongly consider Brandon Phillips, unless he's been picked, b/c he'll be eligible at 2b this year, and when Vizquel retires, he'll be a SS. He'll be 2b/ss elible for at least a year or two. That's pretty valuable.
Zack Greinke...the next Greg Maddux. LOOK IT UP!
For what it's worth.

Thanks jay, that's a really good idea..especially with an aging kent at 2nd, and rentaria playing ss. :)

Just curious what you think, based on talent alone, who you do like better, Jose Reyes or Phillips? I've seen both of them ranked very high in prospects sheets, with Reyes slightly beating out Phillips.

Reyes wont play for a year, NY signed Sanchez. Phillips will play, but at 2b. I might go Valentin. Even with the low avg, he gives power and speed. Marrero might be my 2nd choice, but he could platoon. He cant hit lefties, 227 avg, and only 1 of 18 hrs off them. I wouldnt have Counsell on my team for any reason.
