Acevedo Released!

Postby Pogotheostrich » Wed Jun 11, 2003 1:42 pm

This probably doesn't impact many fantasy teams but this is hilarious. Granted Acevedo hasn't been that great but the Yanks trusted him to close earlier in the season, now 3 days after blowing Clemen's 300th win he is released. Sounds like the Boss has struck again.

yeah, urbina can be traded after the 15th, but he already gave consent to go to nyy so it could be even sooner. apparently he also said he would be happy in a set up role, probably because he will only be in ny for the rest of this season then sign elsewhere as a closer. anyone who has him should deal him now and grab corderro.

All I can say is that if Texas sends urbina to ny, they better get a whole lot in return. Urbina is in high demand, and i am not against trading him (though i would hate to see him in NY), but I hope they let a few teams drive up the price a bit.
