Next week, Houston will be playing the Mets for four games. There are four somewhat marginal players who may have a good time running against Piazza and may be available depending on the depth of your league.

Tavares (26 SB)
Adam Everett (10 SB)
Biggio (9 SB)
Chris Burke (8 in 58 games, hitting better of late, and 2B/OF eligible.)

Might be worth a short term pick up.

Lane and Ensberg both have 6 SB's as well.

On the plus side, Pedro won't be starting against Houston. But, if you're looking at picking up Houston runners just for SB's against Piazza, be careful, as NYM manager Willie Randolph has stated many times that Piazza won't be playing as much in the second half, trying to keep him fresh down the stretch. As it is, Piazza never catches a day game after a night game, so he won't play that Sunday. Those four games are also the tail end of a stretch in which the Mets play 13 days straight, the last 7 on the road, then a day off and 6 at home. Since it's financially better to give stars a rest on the road, I wouldn't be surprised if Randolph rests Piazza one of those other games @ Houston, so he can play the following homestand. I know that may be overanalysis, but I doubt Piazza plays more than two of those four @ Houston...

Good info. I'm planning on playing Burke in the night games. Castro is OK but not great at throwing out runners.

Definately. If Taveras is 100% he might set record fro the most steals in a week.

Taveras is usually on my bench in one league, but he'll be playing against the Mets. I hope Biggio can snag me a few steals too.
