Who should I take next?

Postby hersch223 » Thu Jul 21, 2005 5:20 pm

I have one pick left in a minor draft. Players in the minors when the All-Star break started are the ones eligible. Here's who has been taken:

Delmon Young
Daric Barton
Joel Guzman
Felix Hernandez
Ian Stewart
Prince Fielder
Jeremy Hermida
Hanley Ramirez
Ian Kinsler
Jered Weaver
Lastings Milledge
Adrian Gonzalez
Carlos Quentin
Felix Pie
Stephen Drew
Conor Jackson
Casey Kotchman
Matt Cain
Rich Hill

My pick is 4-5 away, any ideas who I should be looking at? 2-3 names would be great. Thanks guys.

Franciso Lirano is also another player I'd look at.

Verlander, Butler are the top two of pitching/hitting of guys that are eligible.
Some other good names not mentioned, but take all the other mentioned guys first (except Justin Upton and Gordon whom wouldn't be eligible given your requirement that they must have been minor leaguers at the all-star break):
Brandon Wood, SS
Joel Zumaya, SP
Chad Billingsley, SP
