Do some teams play more on Mondays and Thursdays?

I was just curious. It could affect which FA I pick up because I would always be sure that they were playing on getaway days and it would help fill out my roster.

Over 26 weeks (182 days) teams play 162 games. As almost no DH are ever scheduled, that leaves 20 off days, 3 of which come at the ASB.

As such, except for the two teams that play on Sunday night to open the season, each team gets 17 off days during the 26 weeks. Since everyone plays Fr-Su and almost always Tu-We, these 17 days usually come Mo and Th.

Therefore, most every team is scheduled to play 35 of the 52 Mo or Th (with rare exceptions). So, no team plays every Mo and Th possible, although I don't know the breakdown of whether some teams have all of their off days on either Mo or Th. I doubt it, though.

SO FROM LOOKING AT THIS: I have to think it could play out to your advantage to use this data if it would really make a difference - but you'd have to have no inning limit to really use (head to head leagues)

By the way I did this in excel in less than 10 minutes so I'm not promising the results are 100% accurate.

I think at this point in the season - it's alot about whose already had a lot of off days -

tampa SD and cleveland have 96 decisions each = where as florida only has 93.

just an example

also add in TV Value? Maybe.

IE you see the cubs yankees, mets all in the top five for most off day games that has to be a result of TV ratings I think.

(compared to teams like tampa cleveland ariz etc who are at the bottom of the list.)
