The column you'd love to see

Postby Cleveland Steamers » Thu Jul 21, 2005 1:04 pm

I was thinking about articles and columns that are written by fantasy gurus and a plethora of sites. Many times I wonder if some of these "experts" have any idea whats going on. I always end up thinking about what would have made a better article or column. Many times, articles leave out important information or stats to skew the information to the side the writer is taking. Has anyone thought of any really good fantasy articles/columns that would be interesting and useful to us fantasy enthusiasts? Id really like to see what others think.

Im pretty surprised no one had any opinion on this subject, especially with so many views. I think more articles based on keeper leagues would be very interesting, but thats just me.

I'd like to read about what kind of a hitter or pitcher certain players are.....They should evaluate every pitcher based on what kind of stuff they have, their positives and negatives, instead of words like "this guy is a solid player" "this guy can pitch"....etc etc

Leagues vary so much nowadays, its hard to get a good grasp on a value everyone can agree on. Keeper league articles are few and far between, but there are so many factors that go into choosing keepers (salary, contracts, number of keepers, stat cats) that an all encompasing article like youre asking about would be very very difficult to write.

Part of the fun of fantasy is making your own decisions. Romig and Harmon are bufoons. The Cafe is more useful than any article you'll ever read from the dozens of fantasy "experts" out there. ;-D

Maybe an article talking about how to manage very under-rated players and pithers based on various splits?

Just trying to throw you a bone... ;-)
