Why did Ayala get another save?

Because it was a save situation when Ayala came in during the 8th. By the ninth inning, there was no longer a save situation (since the Expos scored more runs), and thus no need to bring in Biddle.

Jeez, why are you guys so paranoid about Biddle losing his job? Check the box score before making a post like this.

He's "paranoid" because Ayala got a save a couple games ago when Biddle came in for the 7th inning and pitched 2 shutout innings. Why did they bring the closer in for the 7th inning?

I don't think anyone understood that move. But Biddle has gotten a save since, and there are no other indications that he's being replaced. And here, there wasn't even a ninth inning save situation to bring him in for, so why waste him?

They brought Biddle in in the 7th inning a few nights ago to give the bullpen some rest. Biddle was to finish the game, but got into some tricky situations and had to be relieved.
